Title: Five Times Neal Sent Peter a Birthday Card (and One Time He Congratulated Him in Person)
Pairing: Peter/Elizabeth, but otherwise gen.
Rating: PG? I have no idea. There are a few swear words, that’s all.
Word Count: ~3,700
A/N: First time posting fanfiction! First time writing for White Collar! Eeek! This is unbeta’d and English is not my first language, so if there are any mistakes, I’m sorry.
This is for Inez (hearyoulaugh), who prompted Neal sending Peter birthday cards from prison, and then it evolved into this because I’m a wordy writer. Oops?
He sits alone in Neal’s now abandoned apartment, letting the loneliness chill him to the bone. The apartment is covered with plain beige sheets, and they remind Peter of the sheets used to cover the dead, even though the colors do not match in the slightest.
So I typically write full length, multi-chapter fics but decided to take a crack at something a lot shorter. So tell me what you guys think! :)
Her fingertips trembled as she brought the glass of wine up to her lips, attempting to hush the small voice in the back of her mind. Why the hell are…
Chapter 10, What’s In A Name, now posted!
Summary: Anderson Brothers, White Collar/Glee Crossover: Neal had never told
anyone his secret. Blaine thought he might never see him again. Then tragedy
struck and two brothers were brought back together to become a family.
My best friend magnetgirl is working with me on pics for this story and that’s one of the amazing ones she’s done above. More to come I hope!
So I’m deviating from my normal fic recs and reccing something that is decidly not Glee related.
This is an Inception and White Collar crossover wherein Arthur and Eames adopt and raise a young Neal Caffrey.
He is decidedly both their sons in this fic and it does an excellent job of keeping to the canon of Eames, Arthur, and Neal.
It tastefully explains so many aspects of Neal’s character as we find it in the series and where he develops those traits from (are they from Arthur, Eames, or something entirely Neal? or some event that happens in his life with Arthur and Eames?)
It’s utterly brilliant and a worthy read if you love either of these series.
“Neal, wake up.”
Neal groaned over his cup of coffee, stirring it absently with his small straw. “But it’s four o’clock in the morning.”
“Such a baby,” Diana muttered, flipping through her files. “No one else is complaining, Caffrey—” She was cut off by Clinton’s loud yawn. “Really, Jones?”
“I’d thought today was going to be my day off,” he shrugged. “So what’s the case, Peter?”
Peter turned to the screen. “A Congressman’s son has gone missing.” An attractive teenagers face popped up on the screen. “Kurt Hummel, aged seventeen, son of Congressman Burt Hummel, went missing this past weekend. His father is very anxious for his return as is the rest of his family.”
“Any leads?” Diana asked.
“Only one,” Peter frowned, switching to the next photo, the picture of another handsome young teenager. “Hours after Kurt went missing, his boyfriend, Blaine Anderson, drove out of town and hasn’t been able to be contacted since.”
Neal dropped his mug, staring at the screen.
“Caffrey?” Clinton asked, turning to him.
“Neal, what is it?”
“Blaine,” Neal muttered.
Peter blinked. “What about him?”
Neal cleared his throat. “He’s somebody that I used to know.”

Anonymous asked you: Blaine Anderson is really Neal Caffrey’s younger brother, GO!Neal keeps two photographs in the back of his wallet.
The first is faded a little, crinkled in the corners but the face is unforgettable. Even after all this time, the sight of Kate is enough to make his breath catch in his throat. The second is older, the edges warped and thick white lines creased through the surface where it’s been folded to fit. It was probably never meant to be taken out of the frame it had once sat in, but Neal’s become kind of an expert at taking what isn’t his.The boy in the picture has a sweet face, a gap-toothed smile so big it stretches his entire face and crinkles the edges of his big, hazel eyes. His hair is soft and loose without the gunk in it their mother had started using when she’d taken to noticing how unruly it would get after a few hours play.Neal’s drawn this face a thousand times from memory, on the edge of the legal pads in the office while Peter’s briefing the team on some new case, on paper begged from the guards while he waited and waited and waited until light’s out. He’s traced that smile and those bright eyes a million times, wondering how they might have changed with age.He could find out, it would be easy with the resources he has at his disposal now. He could quietly ask Jones or Diana or even set Mozzie on the case, and probably wouldn’t even have to tell them why - not until they inevitably told Peter at least, but he never does. His little brother doesn’t deserve what being the brother of convicted felon, Neal Caffrey would bring to his life. But it doesn’t stop him from pausing on the steps of the Met, his eyes fixed to the sight of that dark, neatly slicked back dark hair (wild and soft when left to it’s own devices). He can see the way that broad toothy smile lights up this stranger’s entire face, the way it crinkles the edges of bright hazel eyes and can hear echoes of the past in his laughter.Neal waits, until he’s certain, until the boy - no, man now - turns on his heel and freezes on the spot, his forehead wrinkling in confusion as his mouth silently forms a name that Neal hasn’t heard in a very long time.He strides over, tips back the brim of his hat and smiles instead, big enough to crinkle the corner of his eyes, before he jokes, “Where’ve you been, Squirt?”
This is soooo unedited, it’s the first time I publish white collar fan fic and I finished it 5:30am in the morning so pleaseeeeee be gentle with me.
It’s post 3x16 so for anyone who hasn’t seen that episode should probably not read!
Sara woke up with a start, the dreams full of deep blue eyes and cunning smiles just a hazy memory. It took her a second to realize where she was, but when she did the familiar lump in her throat reappeared. There had been a lot of nights like these, where she woke up and for a second thought she was in his bed. That all she could do was turn around and he’d be right there.
Fandom: White Collar
Pairing: Neal/Peter/Elizabeth (technically; can read gen-ish or Neal/Peter)
Rating: R for language
Wordcount: 850 words
Warnings/spoilers: Implied violence. Implied OT3. No spoilers.
Notes: In the same universe as Out of the Ashes. “Pis-aller”, as Keller explained, is archaic French for “last resort”.
Summary: “This can’t be undone. Once we run, that’s it. We can never come home.”
[ on AO3 ]
What to expect: I think this is dark. But then it’s also… not. A few lines are absolutely worth reading it. And what the summary says about the pairings is actually true. Can be read either way, however you prefer it.
